Best Website Visitor Identification Software (2026): 10 Tools Compared

The best website visitor identification software in 2026 depends on one question before any feature list: do you need to know which companies visit your site, or which people? Company-level tools (Leadfeeder, Snitcher, Leadinfo, Albacross, Lead Forensics, Factors.ai) name the business behind a visit, while person-level tools (RB2B, Warmly, VisiLead on US traffic, and Happierleads by its own claim) try to name the individual. Across 14 live sites we measured, 21.5% of visits matched to a company; your rate will differ.

Every price below was checked against the vendor's own pricing page in October 2026, and every review rating was checked on G2 or Capterra the same month.

Quick picks:

  • Cheapest start with companies and US people: VisiLead, free plan with 10 credits, then $29/mo; companies worldwide, people on US traffic.
  • Best free company-level plan: Leadfeeder Lite, free for the last 100 identified companies a month.
  • Best for US person-level outbound: RB2B, from $79/mo, with HubSpot and Salesforce sync from Pro ($149/mo).
  • Best for CRM sync on every tier: Snitcher, from $49/mo on annual billing, with unlimited users on all plans.
  • Best for European company data: Leadinfo, from €69/mo on annual billing, which also absorbed Visitor Queue.
  • Best for account-based marketing journeys: Factors.ai, from $199/mo, with CRM sync starting on the $6,000/yr Basic plan.

We build VisiLead, so weigh our entry accordingly. Its limits are listed as plainly as everyone else's, and it is the only tool on this list with no public reviews yet.

How Website Visitor Identification Works

Website visitor identification software turns anonymous traffic into named accounts in three layers.

  1. Company identification (reverse IP). The tool matches the visitor's IP address against a database of business IP ranges. Visits from an office network or a corporate VPN resolve to the company; visits from home Wi-Fi, mobile networks and consumer VPNs mostly do not. That single fact explains most of the gap between vendor claims and what you see on your own dashboard, which the match-rate section below puts numbers on.
  2. Person identification (identity graphs). Some tools match the visit against identity graphs built from cookies, device IDs and hashed emails to return a name, job title and LinkedIn profile. In practice this layer is a US product: in Europe it becomes a consent question, and the data partnerships behind it are American.
  3. Enrichment and intent. Depending on the vendor, the named company can get firmographics (industry, size, location) and a behavior score from what it did on your site: pricing and demo page views, return visits, time on site.

One clarification, because the search results mix them up: "visitor identification" in the fraud-prevention sense (device fingerprinting to block bots and account takeover) is a different category, and nothing on this page covers it.

No visitor identification software identifies every visitor, names EU individuals without consent, or tells you why someone came. Treat identification as a lead source, not a census. Our guide on how to identify anonymous website visitors walks through the methods in more depth.

Ratings are the overall score and review count shown on G2 or Capterra on October 25, 2026. We list one site per vendor, the one where we could read a current score; "n/a" means we could not verify a current score for Albacross. Ratings measure user satisfaction with the whole product, not identification accuracy, which is the next section.

Match Rates: What Vendors Claim vs What We Measured

Visitor identification accuracy is the number every vendor advertises and almost none defines. A "match rate" can mean the share of visits, the share of unique visitors, or the share of companies, and the three can differ by a factor of two on the same traffic.

What vendors claim (October 2026, from their own pages):

VendorClaimWhere it is statedWhat it appears to count
Factors.ai"Over 75%" of companies visiting your sitePricing page, Basic planCompanies, not visitors
HappierleadsNames 40-80% of B2B trafficPricing page heroTraffic, level not defined
RB2B15-20% coverage on Free, Starter and Pro; 35-45% on Pro+Pricing page plan tableCoverage per plan, contact and company

What we measured on VisiLead (14 customer sites, July 27 to October 23, 2026):

MeasureAll trafficUS traffic
Visits matched to a company21.5% (538 of 2,507)26.6% (174 of 655)
Unique visitors matched to a company12.7% (of 2,035)20.0% (of 554)
Visits matched to a named person3.0% (74 of 2,507)10.7% (70 of 655)
Unique visitors matched to a named personnot reported12.1% (of 554)

Outside the US, person-level matches were 4 of 1,849 visits, effectively zero. Across the 8 sites with at least 50 visits in the period, the company match rate ranged from 0.7% to 68.6%, with a median of 18.5%. The full method is on our match rates page. It is one small sample from one product, published as-is: read it as a direction, not a benchmark.

Why rates differ so much:

  • Office vs home traffic. A site read by people at their desks on company networks matches far above the median. A site read on phones and home broadband matches far below it.
  • Visits vs unique visitors. Identified visitors come back more often, so a per-visit rate always looks better than a per-visitor rate. Ask which one a vendor quotes.
  • US vs non-US for person level. Person-level rates only make sense against your US traffic. Judge a person-level tool on the US slice, not on your total.

The only test that settles accuracy is your own traffic: run two tools on the same pages for two weeks and count the named companies you would actually contact. Our guide on how to choose B2B website visitor identification software has the full 14-day test plan and a scoring worksheet.

The 10 Best Website Visitor Identification Tools in 2026

These are the ten tools we would put on a shortlist for the best visitor identification software in 2026, ordered for small and mid-market B2B teams. Each entry lists October 2026 pricing, its public review rating, and where it is the wrong pick.

1. VisiLead: Best Low-Cost Option for Companies and US People

VisiLead identifies the companies behind your traffic worldwide and, on US traffic, the individual visitors (name, job title, seniority and LinkedIn profile). It then ties every identified visitor and conversion to the channel that brought them: paid, organic, social, email, referral, or an AI assistant such as ChatGPT.

  • Pricing (October 2026):
  • Free: 10 one-time credits, 1 website, no credit card
  • Starter: $29/month, 100 credits, 1 website
  • Growth: $79/month, 250 credits, 3 websites
  • Scale: $299/month, 1,000 credits, unlimited websites

A credit is spent only when a company or person is identified for the first time; repeat visits, unidentified traffic and filtered networks (internet providers, webmail, schools, government) are free. Credits reset monthly with no rollover, and billing is monthly only.

  • Strengths:
  • Person-level identification on US traffic on every plan, Free included
  • Multi-channel attribution and conversion goals built in
  • Slack, email and webhook alerts on ICP-match, page-visit, repeat-visit or intent-score triggers, with a 0-100 behavioral intent score per company
  • Company add-ons charged only when data comes back: decision-makers at the company, a work-email lookup for a named contact, open roles and funding or revenue (0.5 credit each), phone numbers (2 credits). These are people at the company, not the visitor.
  • Consent mode and Global Privacy Control support for EU traffic
  • Limits:
  • Native HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive integrations are still in development; CSV export and webhooks cover the handoff today
  • Identified visitors do not come with a plain email address
  • One login per account, with no team invites yet
  • Person-level matches stop at the US border, and many companies show only the domain today rather than full firmographics
  • No public reviews yet, against hundreds for Leadfeeder, Leadinfo and Lead Forensics

Best for: SMB and mid-market B2B teams, agencies and lead-gen firms that want companies, US contacts and channel attribution on a monthly plan.

2. Leadfeeder: Best Free Company-Level Plan

Leadfeeder is the most established company-level tool in the category. It returned to the Leadfeeder name in March 2026 after operating as Dealfront.

  • Pricing (October 2026):
  • Lite: free, the last 100 identified companies a month, 7-day history, 20 credits a month, unlimited users
  • Discover: €79/month billed annually (€113 monthly) for up to 50 companies, with CRM sync
  • Activate: from €369/month billed annually (€527 monthly), adding CRM automations
  • Scale: from €599/month, annual billing only
  • 14-day trial on the paid plans, no card needed

Reviews: G2 4.3 from 869 reviews (October 2026).

Strengths: a mature company database with deep European coverage, unlimited users on every plan including Lite, and CRM sync from the first paid tier.

Limits: company-level only. Contacts come from a database lookup, not from the visit itself, and pricing rises with identified-company volume.

Best for: teams with European traffic that want a proven company-level tool and a real free tier. See our Leadfeeder alternatives and Leadfeeder pricing breakdown.

3. RB2B: Best for US Person-Level Outbound

RB2B names the individual US visitors on your site and pushes them to Slack with LinkedIn profiles attached, which is why outbound teams adopted it quickly.

  • Pricing (October 2026):
  • Free: 150 resolutions a month, company-level only since January 22, 2026, Slack only
  • Starter: $79/month for 300 resolutions, LinkedIn profiles to Slack or Teams, no email addresses and no CRM integration
  • Pro: from $149/month, and Pro+: from $199/month, both with business emails and HubSpot and Salesforce sync
  • Overage: $0.45 per resolution on Starter, $0.25 on Pro and Pro+; additional domains cost $99/month for up to 5

Reviews: G2 4.5 from 284 reviews (October 2026).

Strengths: strong US person-level data, a fast Slack workflow, and a 7-day Pro trial with no card.

Limits: people are US-only, and emails plus CRM sync start at Pro. Its own pricing page puts coverage at 15-20% below Pro+. Compare the field in our RB2B alternatives.

Best for: US-focused outbound teams that act on named visitors within hours.

4. Snitcher: Best for CRM Sync on Every Tier

Snitcher prices by identified companies and puts every feature on every tier, so a team on the cheapest plan gets HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho, Dynamics, Attio and Close integrations, plus Zapier, webhooks and a REST API, with unlimited users.

Pricing (October 2026): from $49/month on annual billing ($79 monthly) for up to 50 identified companies, up to $529/month annual ($779 monthly) at 4,001-5,000 companies, with a 14-day trial and no card.

Reviews: G2 4.8 from 248 reviews (October 2026), the highest score on this list.

Limits: anonymous visitors resolve to companies only. Snitcher's Identity Layer names visitors already known to you through form fills, logins or email clicks, which is useful but different from identifying anonymous individuals. There is no free plan.

Best for: small teams and agencies that want CRM sync from the first tier.

5. Leadinfo: Best for European Company Data

Leadinfo identifies companies and pairs them with a database of decision-makers for follow-up. In January 2026 it absorbed Visitor Queue.

Pricing (October 2026): Starter from €69/month billed annually (€99 monthly) for up to 50 companies, with CRM pushes done manually. HubSpot and Dynamics integrations start on Scale (from €159/month annual), and Salesforce and Marketo on Pro (from €359/month annual). 14-day trial without a card.

Reviews: G2 4.3 from 836 reviews (October 2026).

Best for: European B2B teams that want company identification plus contacts to reach out to, and former Visitor Queue customers looking for a direct migration path.

6. Albacross: Best Budget Entry for Pipedrive Teams

Pricing (October 2026): Starter at €59/month billed annually (€84 monthly) with a Pipedrive integration included. HubSpot requires Professional (€149/month annual, €213 monthly), and Salesforce requires the quote-only, annual-only Organisation plan. 14-day access without a card.

Reviews: n/a. We could not verify a current overall score this month.

Identification is company-level and its strength is European traffic. For a Pipedrive-based sales team starting on a budget, the entry tier covers the essentials; teams on HubSpot or Salesforce pay for a higher tier to connect their CRM.

7. Warmly: Best for Enterprise Signal-Based Selling

Warmly combines person and company identification with AI chat and automated outreach.

Pricing (October 2026): from $10,000/year (or $4,875/quarter) for AI Web-Deanonymization, with Inbound Chat at $20,000/year and AI Inbound Autopilot at $30,000/year. No free plan and no monthly billing.

Reviews: G2 4.5 from 250 reviews (October 2026).

HubSpot announced an agreement to acquire Warmly on June 30, 2026, so check the roadmap and contract terms before signing a long commitment. It fits funded sales teams that want identification, chat and outreach in one contract; it is out of range for most small teams. See our Warmly alternatives.

8. Lead Forensics: Best for a Sales-Led, Managed Rollout

Lead Forensics is quote-only, with two named packages (Essentials and Automate) priced on your site traffic and the number of new leads uncovered. The trial runs for one week, and users are unlimited on every plan.

Reviews: Capterra 4.5 from 263 reviews (October 2026).

It identifies companies and adds contacts from its own directory, with integrations for Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics, Pipedrive and Zoho. The trade-off is a demo-first buying process and no public pricing; our Lead Forensics pricing guide collects the contract data buyers have reported, and the Lead Forensics alternatives page covers self-serve options.

Best for: UK and European enterprise teams that prefer a managed rollout.

9. Factors.ai: Best for Account-Based Marketing Journeys

Factors.ai tracks account journeys across ads, website visits and CRM stages.

  • Pricing (October 2026):
  • Lite: $199/month, up to 1,500 identified companies, no CRM sync
  • Basic: $6,000/year, up to 3,000 companies, adds CRM sync
  • Growth: $20,000/year, up to 8,000 companies; Enterprise: from $30,000/year

Reviews: Capterra 4.8 from 20 reviews (October 2026). A small sample, so weigh it lightly.

Best for: B2B marketing teams running ABM programs across paid, content and outbound, with the budget for Basic or above.

10. Happierleads: Best Low-Cost Option With CRM Integrations on Every Plan

Pricing (October 2026): from $99/month for 300 identified visitors on monthly billing, 30% less on annual, with a 7-day trial and no card. HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho, GoHighLevel, Zapier and webhooks come on every plan. White-label starts at 10,000 leads a month at $0.10 per lead.

Reviews: Capterra 4.8 from 78 reviews (October 2026).

Happierleads claims it names 40-80% of B2B traffic and resolves people in 174+ countries. Both figures sit well above what we measured and what other vendors publish, so test them on your own traffic, and get a legal review before using person-level data on EU visitors.

Company-Level vs Person-Level: Which Do You Need?

Company-level identification tells you that Acme Corp read your pricing page. It works worldwide, carries lower legal risk, and suits account-based sales and marketing. Person-level identification tells you that Acme's VP of Sales read it, with a LinkedIn profile to reach them on. It only works reliably on US traffic and suits fast outbound.

Run the numbers before you pay for person level. On our sample, 12.1% of unique US visitors matched to a person. If 30% of your 2,000 monthly visitors are American, that is about 73 named people a month; if 5% are, it is about 12. Most teams selling to mid-market accounts start with company-level data and add person-level identification when US outbound is a core motion. We compare the two in depth in our person-level vs company-level guide.

How to Choose: A Five-Point Checklist

  1. Test on your own traffic. Run two tools side by side for two weeks on the same pages and count the named companies you would actually contact, not raw matches.
  2. Check what a credit or resolution buys. Some tools charge per identified company, some per resolution, and some per credit that also pays for contact data. Ask whether junk matches (internet providers, bots) count.
  3. Confirm where CRM sync starts. Many vendors gate HubSpot or Salesforce behind their second or third tier.
  4. Match person-level coverage to your market. Person-level data is a US product; EU visitors resolve to companies at best.
  5. Read the contract terms. Annual-only billing, quarterly contracts and quote-based pricing change the real cost more than the headline price.

What Changed in the Visitor Identification Market in 2026

The visitor identification software market consolidated faster this year than any size estimate can track. We could not find a named, dated estimate for this category on its own (analyst reports fold it into sales intelligence or intent data), so this page does not quote one. The vendor changes are easier to verify:

  • Leadfeeder returned to its own name in March 2026, after operating as Dealfront.
  • Visitor Queue was acquired by Leadinfo in January 2026.
  • RB2B made its free plan company-level only on January 22, 2026.
  • Warmly is being acquired by HubSpot, announced June 30, 2026 and not yet closed.
  • Koala shut down on September 30, 2025.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is website visitor identification software? A: Software that reveals who is behind anonymous website traffic. Company-level tools match visitor IP addresses to businesses; person-level tools match visits to identity graphs to name individuals, mainly on US traffic. Most add a behavior-based intent score and alerts so sales can follow up while the visit is recent.

Q: What is the best website visitor identification software in 2026? A: It depends on the level you need. For companies on a free plan, Leadfeeder Lite; for US person-level outbound, RB2B; for CRM sync on every tier, Snitcher; for companies plus US people and channel attribution from $29 a month, VisiLead. Test two tools on your own traffic before committing to either.

Q: How accurate is website visitor identification? A: On VisiLead's measurement across 14 customer sites (July to October 2026), 21.5% of visits and 12.7% of unique visitors matched to a company, and 12.1% of unique US visitors to a person. Per-site company rates ran from 0.7% to 68.6%. Vendor claims run higher, so ask what each rate counts.

Q: Where can I read visitor identification software reviews? A: G2 and Capterra carry the most reviews for this category. In October 2026, Snitcher scored 4.8 on G2 (248 reviews), RB2B 4.5 (284), Warmly 4.5 (250), Leadfeeder 4.3 (869) and Leadinfo 4.3 (836), while Lead Forensics scored 4.5 on Capterra (263). VisiLead has no public reviews yet.

Q: Is there free website visitor identification software? A: Yes. Leadfeeder Lite shows the last 100 identified companies a month, RB2B's free plan gives 150 company-level resolutions a month, and VisiLead's free plan includes 10 one-time credits covering companies and US people. Snitcher, Leadinfo, Albacross and Happierleads offer time-limited trials instead of free plans.

Q: Is website visitor identification legal under GDPR? A: Company-level identification is commonly run on legitimate interest, while identifying individuals in the EU generally requires consent. Most tools, VisiLead included, offer a consent mode for EU traffic, and person-level data is in practice limited to US visitors. Review your setup with counsel; our GDPR guide covers the details.

Q: How much does visitor identification software cost? A: In October 2026, self-serve tools start between $29 and $99 a month: VisiLead $29, Snitcher $49 annual, Albacross €59 annual, Leadinfo €69 annual, RB2B $79, Leadfeeder €79 annual and Happierleads $99. Factors.ai Lite costs $199 a month, Warmly starts at $10,000 a year, and Lead Forensics is quote-only.
