Match rates
What share of your visitors VisiLead can identify, measured on live customer websites, and what drives the rate up or down.
Reflects product behavior as of October 2026.
Between July 27 and October 23, 2026, VisiLead ran identification on 2,507 visits across 14 customer websites. 21.5% of those visits (538) were matched to a company. Counted by unique visitor instead of by visit, 12.7% of 2,035 visitors were matched to a company: identified visitors come back more often, so the per-visit rate is higher.
On US traffic, 26.6% of visits (174 of 655) were matched to a company and 10.7% (70) to a named person. By unique visitor that is 20.0% to a company and 12.1% to a person across 554 US visitors. Outside the US, 19.7% of visits were matched to a company and person-level matches were effectively zero (4 of 1,849 visits), because person-level identification only resolves US traffic.
The spread between websites is wider than any average. Across the 8 sites with at least 50 visits in the period, the company match rate ranged from 0.7% to 68.6%, with a median of 18.5%. The single biggest factor is how much of a site's traffic comes from office networks.
- 1
How the numbers were counted
Only visits where identification actually ran are counted. Visits that arrived while an account was out of credits are excluded, because they were never looked up. A visit counts as matched to a company when it carries a company record, and to a person when it carries a person record. Returning visitors who were identified on an earlier visit count as matched, since that is what you see in the dashboard.
- 2
Why most visitors stay anonymous
Company identification matches the visitor's IP address to a business network. People working from home, on consumer VPNs or on residential Wi-Fi resolve to an internet provider, and VisiLead rejects internet providers, schools, government networks and webmail domains instead of showing them as leads. Person-level identification only resolves US visitors who can be matched to a professional profile.

Check your own rate
Your dashboard's Identified Visits tile shows the share of your visits with a company in the selected date range. Compare it over at least two weeks of normal traffic, and judge the person-level rate against your US visits only, not your total traffic.
Small sample, published as-is
These figures come from 14 websites over 3 months, so treat them as a direction, not a guarantee. We will update this page as the sample grows, and the date below says when it was last measured.
Your rate will differ
A site whose visitors work from offices can match well above the median; a site with mostly remote, mobile or consumer traffic can match far below it. The free plan's 10 credits show your real rate on your own traffic before you pay.
Frequently asked questions
What percentage of website visitors can VisiLead identify?+
Measured on 14 customer websites from July to October 2026: 21.5% of visits and 12.7% of unique visitors were matched to a company, and 12.1% of unique US visitors were matched to a named person. Individual sites ranged from under 1% to about 69%.
Does VisiLead identify people outside the US?+
No. Person-level identification only resolves US traffic; outside the US it matched 4 of 1,849 visits in the measured period. Company-level identification works worldwide and matched 19.7% of non-US visits.
Why is my match rate lower than the average?+
Usually traffic mix: remote workers, consumer VPNs, residential Wi-Fi and non-business visitors cannot be matched to a company, and VisiLead filters internet providers, schools and webmail domains rather than showing them as leads. Bot traffic is dropped before identification.
Do unmatched visits cost credits?+
No. A credit is spent only when a new company or a new person is revealed. Unidentified visits, repeat visits and filtered networks are free.
